New Patient Weight Loss Surgery Seminars

It also gives you the opportunity to speak with both clinical professionals and patients who have already had the surgery.

Our patient seminars for initial weight loss surgery are held once per month in New Brunswick, Teaneck, and Mount Olive (Budd Lake), NJ . Below is a detailed calendar as well as upcoming dates are listed on the right. (ROSE Procedure information seminars are listed as separate events. If a ROSE seminar date is not listed yet, please contact us and we will e-mail you with the next upcoming ROSE seminar date.)

Weight Loss Surgery Support Groups

Gastric Bypass Support Groups

Free support groups for gastric bypass patients. Support groups provide a forum for post-op patients to share experiences, have questions answered, and gain encouragement from peers. Prospective patients are encouraged to attend a support group to learn more about the experiences of others. Topics include nutrition following bypass, exercise strategies, emotional issues, holiday management, protein filled recipes and many other issues of interest to the group. Led by Registered Dietitians or a Clinical psychologist.

Saint Peter's Hospital
Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Free support groups for gastric band patients. Support groups provide a forum for post-op patients to share experiences, have questions answered, and gain encouragement from peers. Prospective patients are encouraged to attend a support group to learn more about the experiences of others. Topics discussed include post procedure diet, what to expect at the first adjustment, relaxation techniques, exercise strategies, protein requirements, holiday management and other issues of interest to the group. Led by Registered Dietitians or Behavioral Health professionals.
